Qualifying
Practice will begin on Monday, February 16, 2009, at 3:30pm at Cedar Rock Country Club.  Everyone must have a doctor's physical and a certificate of school insurance on file in the school athletic director's office before they are eligible for practice.

Qualifying will end February 27, 2009.  The team will consist of six to eight qualifiers. The top freshmen and sophomores, if not on the team,  could qualify for the JV practice team, if arrangements can  be made.

Code of Dress and Behavior
This is a golf team, not a PE class.  Any behavior deemed out of character for the golf team by the head golf coach or head pro at Cedar Rock or Lenoir Golf Club will result in dismissal from the team.  It is a privilege that Cedar Rock Country Club and Lenoir Golf Club lets us use their facilities for our golf team.  We will not abuse it.

The Hibriten High School rules of conduct, including no tolerance of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco, will be observed at all times.  As is the policy of the Caldwell County School Board, student athletes may be tested for drugs at any time.  Your qualifying and your continued participation in Hibriten Golf is contingent upon your meeting all school conduct and scholastic requirements.  In addition, the following rules will be observed:

1. Vehicles will be parked in the main parking lot at Cedar Rock and Lenoir Golf Club at all times.

2. No loud or disruptive behavior will be tolerated.

3. Collared shirts will be worn at all times and will be tucked.  A wrist watch is the only jewelry allowed to be worn.

4. Cell phones will be used for emergency only and will be turned off at other times.

5. Any hats will be worn with the bill facing forward.

6. Golfers that will qualify for the team will be required to wear spikeless golf shoes.

7. Pants should be worn properly and cannot be blue jeans or excessively baggy in nature.

8. Players are not to hang out in the grill room, pro shop, club storage, or club rooms.

9. USGA rules will be observed at all times, except where modified by local rules.  You will be expected to have an understanding of USGA rules and NCHSAA rules.

The Hibriten Golf Team has quite a winning tradition, and we pride ourselves on winning the sportsmanship award just as much as we do the championship.
